About the Conference Center

Będlewo Conference Center is part of the Institute of Mathematics of the Polish Academy of Sciences (IM PAN) and its Banach Center. Besides standard conference facilities, it offers discussion rooms with blackboards and flip charts, and it has a fitness room, a bar, a 24-hour reception desk, and free car parking. All rooms have private bathrooms. The conference center is in a XIX century neo-gothic palace, surrounded by a huge park. Swimming is possible in a nearby (3km) lake). All accommodation costs are included in the conference fee. The accommodation is covered from Sunday evening to Saturday morning. The program would start on Monday morning and run till Friday. Participants can leave on Friday evening or Saturday morning. Detailed information and recommendations about the site and its surroundings can be found on the center's webpage.

Additional information on transport

The center provided general information on transport to the site here. There will be a bus from Poznań main train station to Będlewo on Sunday 9/06 at 19:15. The bus will depart from „Dworzec letni” (Google pin: https://maps.app.goo.gl/ztf4hug1KNkJoMt78), which is an outer part of the Poznań main train station. The station has a somewhat non-intuitive structure and it is easy to get lost, so please follow directions on the maps (see the pictures). At „Dworzec letni” look for a person with a sign „Conference Będlewo” and if possible, please be at „Dworzec letni” around 19:00. We should reach Będlewo around 20, have dinner and then check into the hotel. If you have already signed up for the bus (via Google form or personal communication), we have you on the list. If not and you wish to take the bus, please check we still have space by writing at gva@karlin.mff.cuni.cz. Also, the center can provide a taxi from Poznan for an approximate price of 170PLN.

We also highly recommend exchanging some cash to (Polish Złoty; PLN), as in Będlewo, not all places accept credit cards.
